Immaculate Conception is a Catholic elementary school of approximately
300 students located in Val Caron, a growing community about 20
minutes north of Sudbury. At present, a continuum of learning is
offered from JK to Grade 6 in two possible programs – Regular
English and French Immersion. Students are directed to St.
Anne Catholic School in Hanmer for Grades 7 & 8 or Marymount
Academy (for girls only) for Grades 7 to 12. Bishop
Alexander Carter is the Catholic Secondary School our students
attend beyond Grade 8. Students who have been identified through
IPRC (Identification Placement Review Committee) process are able
to access a Multi-grade setting to meet their needs.
A learning environment where Catholic values, teachings and beliefs
form an integral part of daily life is easily observable at the school.
Father Pat Woods from St. Kevin’s Parish provide wonderful support
to our school community. Mass is celebrated at the school as well
as at the church and numerous liturgical celebrations are provided
to our school community throughout the year.
